Oribe Peralta no pudo cumplir su objetivo de vivir la aventura europea como jugador, por eso se planteó como propósito llegar al top del futbol mexicano: América o Chivas.

«En un principio, como todos, cuando empecé a destacar quería irme a jugar a Europa, irme, probar y saber que podía competir a ese nivel. No se dieron las cosas por diferentes circunstancias, no era para mí, tal vez», dijo.

Eso sí, Oribe dejó claro que la exigencia en Coapa es del mismo nivel que en Selección Mexicana, toda vez que él ha sido parte de procesos mundialistas con el Tri, además de ser parte de la historia de la primera Medalla de Oro en Juegos Olímpicos de un combinado nacional en Londres 2012.

«Sí, yo creo que sí. En América se te exige tanto como en Selección, desde que llegué me dijeron que la exigencia es siempre ser campeón. Pierdes un partido y ya es crisis, si no peleas por un título es un fracaso, estar en la Final y perdería es un fracaso».
