VENEZUELA — Las Águilas de Zulia apalearon por segundo juego consecutivo a los Cardenales de Lara al vencerlos por marcador de 11-1 y tomar ventaja de 2-0 en la serie por el campeonato de la Liga Venezolana de Béisbol Profesional.

Jugando en ambas ocasiones como visitantes, Zulia ha superado 23-3 en carreras en los dos primeros juegos de la final para colocarse en gran posición de ganar el sexto título en su historial.

Wil Ledesma (1-0) se llevó el triunfo al lanzar seis episodios de cuatro imparables y apenas una carrera. La derrota fue al registro de Jorge Martínez (0-1), castigado con siete imparables y cinco anotaciones en apenas dos entradas y dos tercios de actuación.

Jordany Valdespin bateó de 5-2 con un doble y tres carreras remolcadas, mientras que Alex Romero, Jesús Flores y Ronny Cedeño añadieron cada uno dos imparables con dos carreras remolcadas para encabezar la ofensiva de los ganadores.
