HOUSTON.-Los Texans perdieron frente a los Giants 27-22, en lo que fue un amargo debut en casa. Con esta derrota los Texans se coloca 0-3 en la temporada, de paso le suman a esa estadística negativa de 0-9 tomando en cuenta las última seis derrotas de la temporada pasada.

La afición como de costumbre respondió con un lleno total en el NRG Stadium, que de poco le sirvió a los Texans. Ningún equipo en la historia de la NFL, se ha podido recuperar de un 0-3, para llegar a la postemporada.

PRIMER CUARTO

El marcador se  abrió para los Texans por conducto de su pateador K.Fairbairn con gol de campo de 23 yardas, pero los Giants respondieron en ese  mismo cuarto con touchdown de Saquon Barkley con un acarreo por el centro de 15 yardas, para colocarse al frente 6-3, para que Aldrick Rosas anotara el punto extra y así poner el 7-3 a favor de los visitantes.

SEGUNDO CUARTO

El segundo cuarto también trajo dividendos para los de New York con gol de campo de 44 yardas  de Rosas, para el 10-3. JJ Watt estuvo a punto de robar el ovoide, pero Eli Manning se recuperó y al final pudieron convertir gol de campo de 30 yardas, para el 13-3.

Para antes de finalizar el meido time, la ofensiva de los Giants de nuevo se hizo presente, Eli Manning realiza un pase corto de 16 yardas para Rhett Ellison para el segundo touchdown y colocar la pizarra 19-3, Rosas hacía efectivo el punto extra para colocar el 20-3 en la pizarra.

Antes de finalizar los Texans respondieron con gol de campo de 28 yardas por conducto de Fairbairn para el 20-6, que reflejaba hasta ese momento lo sucedido en el terreno de juego.

TERCER CUARTO

Los Texans con gol de campo de 54 yardas de Fairbairn, le sacaron  provecho al primer ataque y colocar el marcador 20-9.

CUARTO CUARTO

Deshaun Watson realiza un pase de 6 yardas a Will Fuller para el touchdown y mover la pizarra 20-15, fallando la conversión de dos puntos.

Los Giants respondieron y Manning con pase corto de 6 yardas conecta con el receptor S. Shepard, para mover la pizarra 26-15 y Rosas hace efectivo el gol de campo para el 27-15.

Los Texans respondieron al final con otro Touchdow, Watson conecta pase de 4 yardas con Lamar Miller y Fairbairn anota el punto extra para el 27-22 final.
