El pago atrasado de las becas mensuales desde septiembre a los medallistas olímpicos y paralímpicos será cubierto en breve, luego de que la Unidad Administrativa de la Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP) a cargo de Héctor Garza giró las respectivas instrucciones.
De acuerdo con un comunicado de la asociación de Medallistas Olímpicos de México (MOM) una llamada telefónica del funcionario federal, durante una reunión con una decena de medallistas ,fue suficiente para liberar los recursos y hacer los depósitos en las cuentas de los mexicanos que han subido al podio olímpico y paralímpico.
Además del pago, que reiteró se verá reflejado a la brevedad, Garza anunció una inversión de 50 millones de pesos para remozamiento del Centro Nacional de Desarrollo de Talentos y Alto Rendimiento (CNAR) y de 49 millones más para cubrir los salarios de entrenadores e integrantes de equipos multidisciplinarios que no han recibido en lo que va del año.
«Se entera el Secretario Esteban Moctezuma que ni siquiera le habíamos pagado a los entrenadores que tienen 10 u 11 meses sin sueldo», expresó Garza.
Felipe Muñoz, Daniel Aceves, Carlos Girón, Joaquín Rocha, Tatiana Ortiz y Agustín Zaragoza, entre otros medallistas, acudieron a la reunión de este jueves en las oficinas de la SEP.
