El ex atleta jamaiquino Usain Bolt, plusmarquista mundial de 100 y 200 metros, jugará un partido benéfico el próximo 10 de junio, al frente de una selección mundial y contra un equipo inglés cuyo capitán es el cantante Robbie Williams.

Bolt, que abandonó el atletismo tras los Mundiales de Londres del pasado año, reveló esta mañana la incógnita que había abierto en las redes sociales, cuando aseguró que fichó por un equipo de fútbol, lo que provocó que se dispararan los rumores tras completar algunos entrenamientos junto al Manchester United y el Borussia Dortmund.

Incluso, se especuló con la posibilidad de que fichase por el Mamelodi Sundowns sudafricano, que también en las redes sociales colgó un mensaje en el que, remitiendo al anuncio de este martes, aseguraba: «el fútbol ya no será lo mismo», junto con una foto del jamaiquino.

Bolt dijo sentirse «excitado» por encabezar el equipo Soccer Aid World XI, que se enfrentará al England Aid de Williams y juntará a famosos con ex futbolistas el 10 de junio en el Estadio del Manchester United, cuya recaudación se destinará al Fondo de las Naciones Unidas para la Infancia (Unicef).
