Osvaldo Batocletti, histórico de Tigres, quien padecía cáncer murió este viernes a los 69 años de edad.

Esta tarde, el Volcán lució la imagen de Batocletti en una lona gigante en medio de la cancha, todo esto para orar por su salud, ya que el exdefensa de Tigres jugaba el partido más importante: su vida.

El cáncer de próstata y de columna era su rival a vencer desde hace un año, Bato luchó contra esto, pero hoy se dio el silbatazo final y perdió la batalla. A las 23 horas del viernes 17 de mayo llegó la noticia al club felino, el exzaguero de los universitarios falleció a los 69 años de edad.

“Con mucha tristeza les informamos que nuestro querido Bato perdió la batalla contra el cáncer y ya descansa en paz”.

“Gracias Profe por tantas alegrías, por tantas enseñanzas y por demostrarnos que se puede ser grande dentro y fuera del campo. ¡Contigo en la memoria!”, mencionó el club felino mediante Twitter por su leyenda que jugó de 1977 a 1984 con los de la UANL, retirándose ahí como jugador.

Desde hace una semana, la salud de Batocletti había empeorado, por lo que fue hospitalizado. Mientras tanto, las jugadoras de Tigres Femenil le dedicaban la Final ante Rayadas y al ganar el título, aseguraron que fue para él, pues fue el extimonel argentino quien las llevó a su primer gallardete en 2018. Precisamente al saber de esta enfermedad fue que Bato renunció al timón femenil, pues tenía que atenderse con quimioterapias. Se coronó en el BBVA y dejó al equipo; además, estaba a cargo de las academias del club y aparecía a cuadro en un programa de Tigres en Televisa.
