ESTOCOLOMO — Suecia recibe a España dentro de dos días en un ambiente enrarecido por las acusaciones de racismo lanzadas por Zlatan Ibrahimovic contra el seleccionador, Jan Andersson, cuando su equipo se juega el pase para la Eurocopa.

Aprovechando la visita a Malmoe (sur) natal para inaugurar una estatua, regalo de la Federación Sueca al considerado mejor jugador de su historia, ‘Ibra’, de ascendencia bosniocroata, atacó a Andersson por no convocar en su primera lista, tres años atrás, a ningún jugador de origen inmigrante.

«Primera convocatoria, ¿qué pasa? ¿A cuántos de otro origen incluyó? A nadie. Se lo preguntaron y gimoteó. Luego ya llamó a otros de distintos orígenes para ser políticamente correcto», afirmó Ibrahimovic, retirado de la selección tras la Eurocopa 2016.

‘Ibra’ acusó a Andersson de destruir lo que él había construido «en 20 años», aludiendo a que la selección reflejaba la multiculturalidad de Suecia -con una población de origen extranjero del 20 %-; a la vez que le reprochó que diese más oportunidades a veteranos como Granqvist y Berg, hablando incluso de una «secta».

«Me puso muy triste y me decepcionó mucho que un antiguo jugador de la selección dijera eso. Me dolió», admitió Andersson en la rueda de prensa previa al partido contra Malta de anoche.

«Janne» Andersson ha asegurado que las acusaciones no tienen ningún fundamento, que él no se fija en el origen de los jugadores al convocarlos y que hace tres años y medio que no habla con «Ibra», a la vez que ha agradecido el «enorme» apoyo recibido.
