Houston.- Leandro Bacuna, mediocampista ofensivo anotó  al minuto 40’, el primer gol en la historia de su selección en la Copa Oro, a la postre se convertiría también gracias a ese gol, en la primera victoria de su país en dicha competencia, de paso darle el tiro de gracia a la selección de Honduras, que con la derrota se despide de la competencia.

Bacuna de 27 años, es holandés de nacimiento, juega con el Cardiff City de Inglaterra, que recientemente descendió a segunda división.

Para Honduras, es su segunda derrota, la primera fue ante Jamaica 2-0, con lo que los catrachos se despiden de la competencia, su último juego será de mero trámite ante el Salvador.
