HOUSTON, TX – Esta mañana, los Astros de Houston y la Fundación Astros organizaron una ceremonia dedicando el nuevo Centro de Educación Bob Watson, que se encuentra en la Academia Juvenil de los Astros en Sylvester Turner Park en 2801 Victory Drive en Houston.

La nueva instalación multimillonaria fue nombrada en honor a Watson, el ex pionero de los Astros All-Star y Major League Baseball. Watson participó en la ceremonia y se unió al propietario y presidente de los Astros, Jim Crane, asesor especial del comisionado de la MLB Joe Torre, el alcalde pro Houston Dave Martin, el ex compañero del equipo de los Astros Craig Reynolds, la directora ejecutiva de la Fundación Astros, Twila Carter, y el director de AYA Daryl Wade. El nuevo Centro de Educación Bob Watson (BWEC) proporcionará un enfoque más integral para construir grandes líderes en la comunidad. Watson, de 73 años, ha disfrutado de una carrera única y notable en las Grandes Ligas de Béisbol que ha abarcado seis décadas, alcanzando el éxito en muchos niveles diferentes, incluso como jugador, entrenador, gerente general y ejecutivo de MLB.
