GUASAVE, Sinaloa, 12 de octubre (Notimex).- Con un lanzamiento que terminó por ponchar a Jesús «Chito» Ríos al bat, el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador inauguró la temporada de la Liga del Pacífico en el estadio de los Algodoneros de Guasave, con lo que este inmueble vuelve a la vida tras varios años de inactividad.

La población llegó desde temprano, por lo que el acceso al estadio por la vía principal se tornó casi imposible, ya que además de los asistentes estuvieron también cientos de sinaloenses que con pancartas recibían al Presidente de la República.
Momentos antes, en una de las casetas de camino a Guasave, el presidente se detuvo a escuchar las peticiones de uno de los grupos de manifestantes, quienes le expusieron las necesidades que se viven en Sinaloa y en Guasave.
Así, tras darse el lanzamiento inicial, inició una fiesta de fuegos artificiales que arrancó una ovación y la euforia de los sinaloenses, que por espacio de 10 minutos disfrutó de la fiesta de luces pirotécnicas.
De esta manera, el Estadio Francisco Carranza Limón, casa de la Liga Mexicana del Pacífico de 1970 a 2014, inició su nueva etapa en la que tendrá capacidad para recibir hasta 10 mil espectadores.
