HOUSTON.- David Fletcher con cuadrangular en la primera entrada marcó el rumbo del juego para que los Angelinos de los Ángeles vencieran en el segundo de la serie a Los Astros 8-4, con lo que echan a perder el festejo que tenían los de la ciudad espacial, ya que con la victoria de los de Texas, se coronaban en la División Oeste de la Liga Americana, ahora tendrán que esperar para el día de mañana, cuando se enfrenten en el último de la serie y a su vez sea el último juego de la temporada regular en el Minute Maid Park.

EL PITCHEO

Luke Bard (3-2) se llevó la victoria lanzando 2 entradas completas y ponchando a 3. El derrotado fue Wade Miley (14-6), sólo se pudo mantener por espacio de 1 entrada en la loma de las responsabilidades, conectándole 4 imparables (1HR), buenos para 4 carreras y regaló 1 base. 

LAS CARRRERAS

David Fletcher primer bateador del juego mandaba la bola del otro lado de la barda por el jardín izquierdo para el 1-0 a favor de los Angelinos, vendría pasaporte para Andrelton Simmons, Albert Pujols era dominado con elevado al central, para retirar el primer tercio del juego, Cole Calhoun conectaba imparable al izquierdo, para colocar a corredores en las esquinas. Kevan Smith sacaba rodado por la inicial, era retirado por la ruta 33 para el segundo out, mandando al plato a Andrelton Simmons, para el 2-0. Sería el turno para Taylor Ward que con hit al izquierdo impulsaba la tercer carrera del juego para los Angelinos, colocando la pizarra 3-0.

La segunda entrada de nuevo era productiva para los californianos, David Fletcher con imparable mandaba al plato la cuarta carrera en los ganchos de Michael Hermosillo que había alcanzado la inicial por la vía del golpe, colocando la pizarra 4-0.

En la parte baja de la segunda Los Astros respondían con Cuadrangular del cubano Yordan Álvarez, para el 4-1, Gurriel alcanzaba la inicial con golpe, luego Carlos Correa llegaba a primera con pasaporte, para darle paso a Kyle Tucker que con doblete de terreno al jardín izquierdo  por interferencia de un aficionado sólo anotaba Yuli Gurriel, regresando a Caros Correa a tercera y a Tucker a segunda, para el 4-2. Martín Maldonado con rola a la primera almohadilla era retirado por la ruta 33, pero mandaba a home a Carlos Correa, para el 4-3.

En la quinta entrada en el centro del diamante por Astros estaba el mazatleco José Urquidy, a quien Albert Pujols con imparable al izquierdo mandaba a home a David Fletcher para el 5-3.

En la sexta entrada Andrelton Simmons con hit al central impulsaba la sexta carrera, mandando a la registradora a Michael Hermosillo, que se había ganado la primera con base por bolas, para colocar la pizarra 6-3.

En la parte baja de la séptima entrada Houston anotaba la cuarta carrera con elevado de sacrificio al derecho del emergente Abraham Toro, mandando a home a Kyle Tucker para el 6-4.

En la novena vendría Cole Calhoun para volarse la barda y llevarse por delante a Albert Pujols para el 8-4 final.

PROXIMO COMPROMISO

El tercer y último juego de la serie y del rol regular en Houston, será a la 1:10 p.m. CT,  por los Angelinos lanzará José Rodríguez (0-0, 1.84 ERA, 10 K), mientras que por Los Astros será Justin Verlander (19-6, 2.50 ERA, 283 K), que en su penúltima salida de la temporada buscará la victoria número 20, está a sólo 11 ponches de los 3000 y necesita 17 para llegar a 300 en una sola temporada, algo que jamás ha realizado en toda su carrera.
